High Protein Turkey Chili – Instant Pot 

I’m pretty sure I could throw out every kitchen gadget/tool and live with just my Instant Pot! 

It’s a blustery cold snowy day here in the North so I had chili on the brain. Here’s how it went Down

You will need 

3 stalks celery 

1 carrot 

Bunch of green onions

1 can 6 bean medley 

1 can Chili style tomatoes

1lb of extra lean ground turkey 

3/4 c frozen corn 

Garlic powder, chili powder and cumin  – Turn your instant pot onto sauté , add in a little oil and then throw in the cut up veggies 

Then add in ground turkey 

Drain and rinse the can of beans , add to pot . Add tomatoes , corn and spices. No need to cook the turkey fully because you are going to let pressure do that. 

Cancel the saute action, put the lid on and hit manual for 15 minutes. Boom Chili is done! Let it naturally release pressure as it will stay warm until you are ready to serve. I like to put mine on rice, top with sour cream and cheese! 

This makes 6 big bowls and here’s the details/macros 

Low fat, good carbs and high protein! Win win 

LiveFit Program Phase 1 Day 1

Wow , today has been a success! Here is how Day 1 of Jamie Eason’s 12 week LiveFit Program went.

I weighed myself , urgh


I tend to not focus on the numbers on the scale , but I am getting “fluffy” and I don’t like it .

I then took my before pics

I then did as the plan states and ate breakfast before I worked out


I’ve been recovering from this hip issue since Sunday but today I wasn’t doing any cardio or legs so I was good to go. So I headed to my fav place to workout GoodLife Fitness and this was my Chest & Tricep workout


I realized I really really suck at narrow push ups ! My DB bench presses were done with 12.5lbs, instead of flat bench cable flyes I did seated chest press on the cables at 20lbs, also added in lying DB flyes with 10lbs, my tricep extensions were with a 25lb DB and the tricep pull down was at 20lbs.

These are the supplements that I will be using for my program



Day 1 Meal Plan

Meal 1 – sweet potato, steak and an avocado

Meal 2 – BSN Syntha 6 protein, snap peas and cheese

Meal 3 – 1 boiled egg , apples and PB

Meal 4 – salmon , asparagus and sweet potato

Meal 5 – butter coffee, chicken thighs X 2 and salad

I may or may not sneak in a 6th meal if I get hungry tonight , rest assured it will be a clean choice .

All in all it went great today and I’m excited for Day 2 .
