Who says post op’s cant eat PIZZA!

I heart pizza, all kinds, all toppings, all shapes. I was not going to give this little piece of heaven up post op, no way Jose! Fortunately for me, my 2 oldest children work in an awesome pizza place and custom make my pies! There are times when my pizza urge hits and Inkdgirl must make her own Za! So I make these

FLATOUT PIZZA’S! These bad boys rock! Every trip I make south of the border I grabs copious amounts of these wraps! We here in Canada do not have them ( HINT HINT FLATOUT PEOPLE!!!) so I stock up! I also stock up on Price Choppers pasta sauce as it has the lowest sugar content, I use this as my sauce. Then load up the pizza with turkey pepperoni, lots of cheese and tons of onions and peppers! Note, Feta makes a pizza perfect! I like to toast my wrap a bit in the oven at 400 minus the toppings, for crispiness! Then I add whatever my fridge has in it, but never ever do I put chicken on my pizza, that to me is WRONG! Hope you enjoyed today’s food porn and I’m going home to make me a pizza~!

Product Alert – Yumminess!

So happy to have found this! Yes for all of you living in the USA this is probably something you have had forever, but here in good ole Canada, we take some time getting the goods! This is what I’m talking about

Single serve Danone Oikos  Greek yogurt with blueberries. 90 calories,2g fat, 12 g carbs , 12g sugar(eek) but 8 g protein! Boooyeah I’ll take it! For those of you who are lactose intolerant post op ( LIKE ME) I make sure and take a Lactaid prior to consumption. The sugars were quite high and I was in fear of dumping, but I did NOT dump from this(I am a huge dumper!) So these little gems will find themselves in my cooler for lunches or snacks! I’m eating one as we speak before I head to the gym for a nice lift session!

Killed it at the GYM today!

Started the Live Fit program today and I am so obsessed with lifting heavy things! I love that feeling of pushing my muscles to the limit. The endorphins were on high alert post workout! It also helped that our local hockey team was there working out, nothing beats a little eye candy whilst working out. I did do some cardio today even though the plan doesn’t call for it yet, but again, rules are meant to be broken , RIGHT.. I have a really hideous pic that I may as well post of the gun show!

Sorry, I could not flip the photo.. technology sucks! I am so rockin my large scar on my tummy too! Not afraid to show that, I had 4 huge hernias repaired in July that had me grounded for 8 weeks, I was a mess, no going out at all due to the 2 drains I had to cart around with me.

But once I got clearance from the surgeon, I was at the gym! Doing cardio, but not anymore.. I love to lift so I will add progress pics weekly, lets do this Mondays Inkdgirl!

Sounds like a plan peeps!

These 3 lil subject titles run my life and are my obsession! Hence the moniker, Inkdgirl, yes I am tatt’d! Do I love it? Yup , does my mother approve? , nope , do I care?, nope! Again the whole listening to rules and people do not apply to inkdgirl. Currently I am wearing 9 lovely pieces of ink with future designs in the works. Most recently I had this done,

Books- I am completely engrossed in books. I read so many books a year my library is full! What do I read , well right now its this

Food Porn!

You must know early on that I love food porn and will show you all my latest and greatest concoctions as they become available. My children scurry from the kitchen when they hear me chant” Guess what I’m making tonight!”

Let’s just say this lil journey has included some seriously disgusting kitchen creations, but also new ones that are favoured my all members of inkdgirl’s household! Can you say FLATOUT Pizza’s, yummo!

I would be uploading some of these glorious photos, but currently IPHONE is digesting IOS5, and seems to be spewing it all over! Updates and me, not friends!

The one thing I do enjoy looking at is others food creations and daily logs, Yeah I creep myfitnesspal diaries!

So enough said, I had you excited with the Caption Food Porn, only to bring you down, but it shall appear… I promise and I won’t disappoint!

Transfer Addiction– THE GYM!

I have to admit that I’m pretty cool with this addiction. I know that some people have issues with this and what they are transferring to, be it shopping or whatever, thankfully mine is the trusty old YMCA. I love this place! Where else in the world can you get fit and totally people watch at the same time. I have to admit that  am a total people watcher, sit me on a busy street and I can entertain myself for hours! Enter Cowboy, my gym’s 80 yr old man who works out in his cowboy hat! KUDOS to you Cowboy, hey at least he’s in the gym working out. Then there are the pretty girls with matchy matchy outfits and never a sweat bead crosses their foreheads!

Any hoo – not hear to chat about the characters of the Y, but to say how much I love to work out!

It all started with a simple love affair with the elliptical machine. I started out doing 20-30 min at moderate resistance for about 3-5 kms. Then , I got bored!

So enters the beloved TREADMILL! I heart this machine to death. I began the C5K on this and was progressing at an alarming speed( alarming reads INJURY!). I finished the first 3 weeks without resting in between runs. I know- stupid idea! but if you know me- I don’t like to listen to rules or people! So the knee starts to hurt during ,oh lets say, week 2.. but do I slow down.. noooo! I keep running and actually ramp my speed up! Then week 4 comes and I anticipate conquering this dreaded 5 min run, when I become an EPIC FAIL!!! I hit that 5 min run with all my might and good ole left knee says” I THINK NOT”!!!!
I finished the run as a very slow walk.. cuz I’m no quitter! Then I hobble to the change room to shower and realze, said left knee refuses to bend to put pants on… OH NO! No worries folks, I got em on.. but so ends the love affair with Treadmill…

BUT!!! I now heart WEIGHT ROOM!!!
Yup , sure do.. And its all thanks to Jamie Eason and all her awesomeness! ( I like to make up words!)
So I get myself a bodybuilding.com account and off I go! I am trying to listen and not overwork my muscles, but pain means results doesn’t it?I’ve successfully done 3 days of gym time/weights and only did 20 min cardio on my former flame, elliptical! I now fully understand the anatomy of the female upper body, why, because this anatomy is currently screaming at me for ripping it to shreds!

So for those of you looking to find a transfer addiction, other than food- I highly recommend THE GYM, minus the injury part!

Cheese,Pickles and Tea – I eat like a 90 yr old woman!

And guess what, I’m totally ok with it.. Since my WLS ,my portion sizes have decreased, obviously, one doesn’t have their insides re-routed otherwise, and I frequently get stares from co-workers who think I’m insane. How could you possibly be full? That’s not healthy? Blah Blah Blah… I for one will never ever in this lifetime give up on my addiction to the following
Bick’s Baby Dills- Garlic (Costco sized jars for inkdgirl!)
Cracker Barrel Old Cheddar- yes it has to be old, the stinky’er the better!
and Tea… just plain ole Tea, well steeped, my love! I heart you Tea!

These are by no means high protein nutritional meals, but there are times when this is my comfort food.

nuff said, of to fetch me some cheese , pickles and a CUPPA!
